About the role
The Pursuit Group are currently looking for a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join a large logistics company based in Essex - A global organisation who specialise in cargo logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services and free trade zones.
The company are on a journey to become the leading end to end logistics solution provider across the globe and freight forwarding is a critical part of this journey. They are excited to present their new Freight Forwarding Office in Essex. You will be one of the first hires for the new team.
This vacancy can be once a week in the office (or full time in the office, what ever your preference may be).
They are currently recruiting the start-up team which will consist of Ocean & Air freight Sales Executives, and looking for someone with Freight Forwarding sales experience across Ocean, Air, Imports and Exports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successful track record of prospecting and selling transportation and logistics services to small, medium and large international freight clients
- Role responsible for business development, increasing the companys carrier partner network, and promoting operational excellence
- Manage constant growth in Volume, Revenue and Margin
- Develop and implement sales plans and call cycle for building relationships for new business.
- Although mainly new business, be able to support existing customers where appropriate.
- Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly targets and KPI’s.
- Undertake market analysis and competitive research in the local market
- Monitor import data, work on market strategy, customer loyalty, and be able to adjust to market and client needs
- Assist clients in their day by day requests related to export/import quotations/negotiations in order to ensure proper opportunity closing
Experience:
- At least 3 years + of Sales Field experience in Freight Forwarding
- Sales Skills, Agile Skills, Communication, Computer skills
- Fluent English required
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full valid UK driving license or appropriate international license allowing you to drive on UK roads
